Pet peeve of the day
I am really annoyed by web forms that require you to select your country from a pop-up list of the nations of the world, and which alphabetize every single one of our planet's 200+ countries, so that you have to scroll way, way, way down past such Internet hot spots like Afghanistan and Andorra to find "United States" (usually nestled next to "United States - Outlying Territories" to make things even trickier).
Some web designers are pretty intelligent about this and have the United States as the top item in such a pop-up list. If you do this, Mr. or Ms. web designer, then I thank you. And if you insist on the impartial and ungodly annoying fully alphabetical list without any exception for logic, then I sentence you to 30 days of actually using the web from Afghanistan! Happy surfing!
