In this country, we beat up people with whom we disagree

That, apparently is the message sent to Professor Paul Mirecki by a couple of thugs who disagreed with Mirecki's views on intelligent design.

I have to say, though, that Mirecki was quite stupid for getting out of the car and confronting the two attackers. If you are being tailed aggressively by someone on a rural road, and you see that there are two strapping young thugs in the other car, it would seem discretionis the better part of valor, and unless you are some kind of black belt (or have a gun), it's probably better to get their license plate and drive away....but in any case, stay in your car!
