Pit Bullsh*t

So I saw this story flash across the AP news wire, about a nasty pit bull attack in Colorado. It seems like something like this happens pretty frequently. And it's always pit bulls. I know there are people who say that breed is no worse then any other and that if there is a bad dog it is because it had a bad owner, but if that were the case, how come you never see stories about kids being mauled to death by a pack of daschunds or yellow labs?

Just curious.
