Looking for a red state mate?
If you are a conservative who believes in true-blue American values such as keeping the government out of people's lives (unless they are gay and trying to get married) and have been playing the online dating game with no luck, then your ship has finally come in. Apparently most online dating sites are filled with (yuck!) liberals. In fact, there apparently seem to be way more liberals then conservatives everywhere single folks go to hook up, so I guess if you are a conservative, be glad most of these folks don't bother voting! Anyway, I was browsing around the web when I came upon a dating web site for conservatives (don't ask). Anyway, on their about page they describe their site as follows:
Although our service is not a religious singles web site, it is based upon Judeo-Christian principles that have been the bedrock of society since the dawn of mankind.
My only question is how "Judeo-Christian" values could have existed since "the dawn of mankind" given that Jesus only came around about 2000 or so years ago. Even if you are a young-Earth creationist (and you are, aren't you?), that still leaves a mighty big gap between the "dawn of mankind" and the inculcation of Judeo-Christian values.
Interestingly, the site lists the top cities in which their membership lives, and the list looks like a roll call of blue-state strongholds -- New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and so forth. There must be a lot of lonely conservatives in those places who get tired of being on the wrong end of 75% to 25% votes on election night!
