Books
I know there's one of those book meme things going around, kinda like the music one below (and for which I still need to pass it on to five more people).
I'm not going to answer the book one (yet) but I do know I own exactly 1060 books containing about 346,183 pages, thanks to an excellent piece of book-tracking software for Mac OS X called Booxter. I've tried pretty much every piece of book-cataloging software for the Mac, and Booxter is really a shelf above the rest. It's not as pretty as the heavily-promoted Delicious Library, but it is much faster (especially if you have a large library), more customizeable, and it tracks more information about each book.
Whether there's an Intel or IBM chip inside, its software like this that makes me enjoy the Mac more then the other platform.
