Remember that gay group in Connecticut I wrote about last week that was lobbying against civil unions?
Well, they finally have gotten a clue and are no longer opposing the civil unions bill in that state.
"All-or-nothing strategies are always a bad idea," Rep. Michael Lawlor (D-East Haven) said.
Yes, exactly. And in a year when the forces of anti-gay intolerance have tasted blood and are on the march, it is encouraging to see legislative leaders in at least one state willing to move in the other direction of their own accord, without being forced into action by a court decision.
